What was the focus
of your
conversation?
We discussed how we each handle students who have incomplete artwork at
the end of the quarter. This is a difficult problem to address because of
students who have been gone and the amount of time it takes some students to
complete projects.
Questions,
Comments,
Concerns?
In art we may only a handfull of projects finished by the end of the quarter so
each project is worth a large percentage of their grade. So how we handle
students that have incomplete projects is a challenge.

of your
conversation?
Susan was at the AE this morning for the last of her Love & Logic training.

This morning Lacy and Carisa discussed how we use technology in our
curriculum. Lacy shared how she uses Illustrator with her graphics class.
She has them keep a log while they are working with different tools to keep
track of how work. She also shared a great tutorial that she uses with her
students to help familiarize them with the program.

Carisa uses the mimeo teach to introduce projects through power point
demonstrations and using the Notebook program. She also shared rubrics
with them through mimeo view as well so they can see what the exepctations
are with each assignment.

We also continued to work on our Smart goal this afternoon by updating our
curriculum maps and discussed project ideas.

In the afternoon, Carisa shared the morning information with Susan. She
shared how she also used the mimeo teach, power point presentations, and the
mimeo view to present the different lessons.
In what ways did
you use student
data?
Carisa used data in her individual professional development plan to compare
how her four chosen students did between the 1st and 2nd quarters.
Was there dialogue
about how student
needs are being
met?
Carisa & Lacy in the morning discussed how the curriculum will be changed
next year to meet the needs of the students.
Were you problem

independently or
interdependently?
Both independently and interdependently.
Questions,
Comments,
Concerns?
Lacy and Carisa were expressing the need for more time with Susan, which
should now happen with PLC time. We also think it would be beneficial to have
another laptop lab that we can use between some of the classrooms in this area
of the building. It is very difficult to find time to reserve the computers with
the increased usage from other disciplines.
