The Artic Oil and Wildlife Refuge

Part A:
19 million acre
will result in no signicant adverse effect on the sh and wildlife, their habitat, subsistence
resources and the environment
Drillers no longer dump their cuttings and sewage and garbage into surface pit
27,000, the Central Arctic herd is ve times as large as it was in 1978
Part B:
The article is about the ANWR or Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. The ANWR is part of Alaska.
It has been said that there is a lot of oil in the area. It can make oil prices go down and cause problems to
the environment. In ANWR there are lots of rivers and lakes. There are studies that the caribou are having
problems from the wells near ANWR. Even though the wells are near the border it still affects the animals
and plants from oil spills or just of transportation.

Part C:
For me, if I as in charge I would not let any oil company because it would disturb the land
because there might be oil spills. The people who are living in Alaska should be voting no if they have a
chance to vote for it since that is there state and they should have the right to take actions of what they
are for. Alaskan Government should resist because once a species is extinct it can never go gack. There
are plenty of oil. We should be looking for the alternative energy since we cant use oil forever. And that
is why we should not drill it because we basically are taking an action that will just pile up. If we go to
alternative energy we dont have to be oil dependent on other countries
