Besan Laddu

These laddus are popular all over North India.



Ingredients
3/4 cup (100 grams) Bengal gram flour (esan)! coarsel" ground
3/4 cup (100 grams) po#dered sugar
1/3 cup ($0 grams) ghee
1/4 teaspoon cardamom (elaichi) po#der
% to 3 drops saffron colour

Method
1. &i' together the sugar and saffron colour and (eep aside.
%. &elt the ghee in a (adhai! add the gram flour and coo( over a lo# flame stirring
continuousl" till it is golden ro#n in colour.
3. )dd the cardamom po#der and mi' #ell.
4. *emove from the fire and pour onto a plate (thali). +ool completel".
,. &i' together the gram flour mi'ture and sugar.
$. -ivide into . e/ual portions and shape into laddus.

Handy tip(s) :
1. You can use regular gram flour instead of the coarsely ground gram flour for the
above recipe.
