By aris Trun!o
"Love hurts#$ %t&s a phrase used every sin'le day by millions o( love in(licted individuals that
have been done )ron'# But, )e&re not here on the behal( o( millions, )e are here to investi'ate the
human mind, and to possibly shed some li'ht on a (e) common in*uiries (or us romantics# +ust to be
clear, this is not some (eminist approach to e,asperate our (ello) ladies and 'entlemen, but rather an
insi'ht(ul read on ho) )e should treat one another as human bein's#
% have a very stron' opinion that opposes modern love, and craves chivalry# Could it really be so
dead- %&m almost positive that )hen )e (ou'ht to)ard 'ender e*uality back in the ./01&s that )e didn&t
include the e,tinction o( manners# That&s a 'iven2 When )as the last time you heard a man describe a
)oman )ith an ad3ective that isn4t drippin' in se,ual innuendos and de(amin' premises- %t&s been
a)hile, ri'ht- But )e can&t blame them# %t&s a t)o )ay street ladies#
5s o(ten as )omen complain about bein' described in dero'atory terms and bein' ob3ecti(ied to
the brim, )hat do any o( us ever do about it- Women o( this century don&t even bother (i'htin' the
system# 6ne day )e may be indul'in' ourselves )ith class and values in the spirit that )e (ound "the
one$ 7a'ain8, and the ne,t day )e (ind ourselves (eedin' the male population )ith the moderni!ed
stereotypes that they desire# We can&t e,pect to be treated )ith the upmost respect, )hen )e too (all
into the social sti'ma o( hair e,tensions, stilettos, and mini skirts# 5nd )e can&t e,pect to be )ined and
dined )hen many o( us have abused our o)n ri'hts in order to ac*uire )hat )e labeled "eye candy$, at
the club last ni'ht# +ust sayin'#
6n that note, it&s al)ays been a little harder (or the male population# 9o, not in the )ays that )e
normally think# %t&s al)ays been more di((icult (or men to appreciate and treat )omen in e*ual char'e#
They have been raised to believe in dominance, con(idence, and )hatever other manly *ualities one
mi'ht attach to their kind# 5s lon' as )e can blame )omen, )e can also blame men# Men are victims
o( illusion, but they have a stron' choice# Many o( them have (allen (or the trick o( the eye that )omen
pull by hikin' up their dresses, applyin' vasts amount o( makeup, and s)eet talkin' their )ay to a
man&s heart###or somethin' like that# 5 lot o( men today have lost the ability to appreciate a )omen (or
her )orth and individuality, and in return the (emale population be'ins to believe in a loss o( virtue
themselves#
The truth o( the matter is, % could 'o on and on about e*uality and stereotypes, and the evolution
o( men and )omen over the course o( hundreds and thousands o( years# The main point o( this short
post is to in(orm both 'enders about )hat is ri'ht and )ron'# :es, % )as indeed *uite blunt about my
ideas on the modern relationships bet)een men and )omen# These ideas do not re(lect my vie)s as a
)hole, but rather my vie)s on particular types o( men and )omen# % think )e all kno) )hat %&m aimin'
(or# To sum it up, )e all need to appreciate one another (or our souls# Beauty isn&t skin deep, it is (ar
beyond that in every individual# 5s )e continue to evolve and become kno)led'eable human bein's,
)e should do it )ith only the hi'hest sense o( morals, and try to carry on at least some o( our ancestor&s
'race )ith us# Chivalry doesn&t have to be dead#
