AIDS OUTREACH CENTER | JANUARY 2014-MAY 2014
Development and Marketing Intern- Fort Worth, Texas.
Duties include: assisting development associate with grant research, grant writing, volunteer
coordination and fundraising; assisting special events coordinator with preparations for annual AIDS
Walk fundraiser, AIDS Walk Casino Night Kick-off Party and Evening of Hope gala.
Spring semester 2014 internship.
ENCORE TO IBERIA BANK | JUNE 2012-AUGUST 2012
Private Banking and Commercial Groups - Houston, Texas.
Duties included: assisting loan officers and credit analysts prepare loan packages; attending credit
committee meetings with senior management; accompanying loan officers on client calls; helping
administrative assistants with customer service; and working with fellow interns to create and test an
Excel based loan risk grading system for the Energy Lending Department.
During my internship I developed good relationships with many of the lenders and senior officers.
Encore Bank was acquired by another bank, and the group of lenders I operated under moved to Iberia
Bank. I applied to Iberia and was able to continue my banking internship with the group of bankers I
trained under.

Retail Electric Power Provider -Residential Services - Houston, Texas
Duties included: monitoring the success of a consumer telemarketing campaign that was outsourced
to a third party company; prepared reports on campaign outcomes for the director of retail operations
(this required I independently call on the provider); worked in customer service operations
monitoring compliance with defined processes to ensure quality customer service.
This position gave me an opportunity to see many facets of what makes a large company work and all
the different people involved. I interacted with people in senior management as well as call center
employees and enjoyed and learned from all my interactions. This experience reinforced how
important discipline and respect for individual dignity is to the success of a company.

Duties included: assisting customers with sales, opening/closing store, managing alterations/tailoring,
helping run events and fit parties, and store maintenance. This position required flexibility, sociability,
responsibility and in-depth knowledge of our products. I have learned to sell with sensitivity to a
customers desires while balancing store revenue objectives and the integrity of my feedback. I often
worked shifts alone and appreciate the trust the owner has placed in me.

Duties included: assisting with customers; set-up and take-down of jewelry cases; updating customer
records on store computer; helping plan and run events/trunk shows and running errands. This
position required flexibility, responsibility, organization, focus and neatness as inventory is small and of
great value.
This job started out as a one-time Christmas season position my junior year of high school. After
completing the season, I was asked back to work Saturdays. I worked there through high school and
seasonally through the winter of 2011. This is where I began to learn about the characteristics of great
sales people and an organization focused on selling to high-end clients.
