"HE CANNOT THINK -- HE ONLY SEES!"
Almost a form of social satire; Society nowadays hates reading and is all about watching tv, and, as he
says, it is taking away the ability to think
The obvious theme of the poem is to forget the television and to pick up a book and read. Society
nowadays is only focused on the television, and imagination has been killed. This is the point that the
author is trying to get across.
I think this poem is interesting and extremely true for the most part. I agree with what the author is tying to
tell everyone, because it is most denitely true. The people of today have the worst imagination out of
everyone whose ever lived because everything is on the TV screen for them so they do't have to think for
themselves; it's all right in front of them.

"In this part of the story I am the one who
Dies, the only one"
The theme is of love and the e!ects it can have. The author is in broken, most likely one-sided love. This
poem could be a sort of a warning in a way; trying to tell people that love can hurt.
The author is struggling with this feeling and ambiguity. The somber tone gives o! a poetic feeling of
empathy and remorse, which is why this poem deserves to be logged. I'm still just a teenage and probably
don't know what real love is, so this poem, to me, shows the negative side to love.
A lot of Metaphors, Personications, and Similes; "My heart moves from cold to re"
"Maybe January light will consume my heart"
