Professional Support Services People who work in this group of occupations pro-
vide a variety of special services in school settings. These individuals help students
with personal, physical, and educational problems. Examples of these occupations
are school counselors, social workers, psychologists, and speech pathologists.
Family and Community Services People who work in this group of occupations
work in community agencies to help others who face a variety of problems. Their cli-
ents include the homeless, those with physical and mental problems, the aged and
poor, and those who are without a job. They attempt to find sources of help for their
various needs.
Legal Services People who work in this group of occupations are lawyers and assis-
tants at various levels. Some research the law to determine what is legal in a given
case. Others defend or prosecute those who have broken the law. Some take careful
notes in court trials. Some develop estate plans or documents for the sale of proper-
ty. Others review documents, such as property titles, to determine if they are legally
correct or appropriate for a specific purpose.
Health Informatics People who work in this group of occupations manage health-
related information and facilities. The group includes those who manage hospitals,
health centers, nursing homes, and other medical care facilities. It also includes
those who collect information about clients, record it, and make it available to those
who need to know it.
Early Childhood Development and Services People who work in this group of oc-
