Non-Profit Board Member. 9/11-currently. Holladay Preschool.
Served as Board Chair from 9/12-5/13. As Board Chair, supported the past
Preschool Director during her final year as Director before she announced her
retirement in February 2013. Hired an Acting Director in the retiring Directors
absence. Conducted contract and pay rate discussions with all Preschool
teachers on Acting Directors behalf. Served on the search committee to select
a new Preschool Director in May 2013.
Continue serving on Preschool Board as a liaison. Wrote articles for the
Preschool newsletter. Organized a thank you luncheon for Preschool
teachers. Organized a separate reception to welcome new Preschool Director
to the school. Planted and cared for a small flower garden for the Preschool.
Currently organizing a fall service project for the school.

Experience
Specialist I, ePortfolio Lab. 12/13-present. ePortfolio Lab, Jordan Campus, Salt
Lake Community College.
Assist students one-on-one with the creation of a beautiful online ePortfolio
using Weebly, Google Sites, or Wordpress.com.
Encourage students to reflect and write about their learning experience in their
ePortfolios to showcase their college work. Demonstrate for students how to
make connections between their coursework and the SLCC Learning
Outcomes.
Academic Advisor. 5/07-9/09. Academic Advisor, QUEST Program, Illinois
Central College, a community college with approximately 14,000 students.
Academic Advisor for students in the QUEST Program, a support program for
students planning to transfer to four-year colleges.
Met with students at least once a semester to plan students academic course
load. Worked with students in a collaborative manner to set up class schedules
that met work, family, and academic needs.
Planned and conducted special events throughout the school year for QUEST
students. Events included trips to Chicago- and St. Louis-area museums,
picnics, holiday parties, midnight movies, team building exercises, and more.
Planned and presented a special Parent Orientation for the parents of QUEST
students. This included doing a presentation about the QUEST program for
parents and inviting additional speakers to talk about the college experience.
Recruited students for the QUEST program by visiting many of the high
schools in the ICC college district. Gave short presentations and met with
students one-on-one to discuss the benefits of the QUEST program.
Wrote and edited a biweekly newsletter designed to inform QUEST students
about upcoming QUEST and college events. Made the newsletter fun and
easy to read through email and Facebook.
During the 2008-2009 school year, taught two sections of PSY 114, a college
orientation and study skills class for new college students.

Admissions Representative. 5/02-5/07. Enrollment Management, Illinois
Central College
Represented ICC at 18 high schools in the ICC college district. Worked with
the high school counselors from each of these schools to plan classroom
presentations and special assemblies. Collaborated with counselors to
organize student visits to ICC.
Discussed ICC college options with high school seniors, adults looking for
career growth, and parents wanting to learn more about their students college
options. Explained ICC services and financial assistance options.
Planned and conducted recruiting events to share information with prospective
students about ICC. Events included Home Educator workshops, Senior
Enrollment Days, and One-Stop Enrollment workshops.
Coordinated the campus tour program by recruiting and training student tour
guides. Worked with student tour guides to polish tour presentations, track
tour participation, and follow-up with prospective students who visited campus.
Created additional recruiting methods, such as direct-mail marketing. Worked
with the web design team to revise the ICC web site to include more
information for prospective students and high school counselors.
During the 2003-2004 school year, served as an advisor for the Multicultural
Student Association.

Administrative Assistant. 8/00-5/02. Student Affairs Division, Bradley
University.
Provided administrative support for the Associate Provost for Student Affairs.
Taught a section of EHS 120 "The University Experience," a class designed to
orient new freshmen to college life.
Organized the annual "Bradley Day of Dialogue" program, a series of
roundtable discussions for students and faculty on diversity.
Prepared minutes for the Parents Board meetings and the Student Affairs
Committee of the Board of Trustee meetings and other meetings.
Monitored divisions monthly budget reports and assisted with the preparation
of the divisions annual capital, operational, and personnel budgets.

Human Resources Specialist. 3/99-8/00. Human Resources Department,
Seattle Public Library.
Recruited for Library positions at all levels within the organization. Developed
advertisement strategies to attract top candidates. Worked cooperatively with
Library supervisors to develop recruitment plans, interview questions, and skill
tests.
Developed an orientation and mentoring program for the Student Assistant
program, a student employment program at the library.


Human Resources Assistant. 9/95-3/99. Human Resources Department,
Seattle Public Library.
Supported the diverse functions of the department, including recruitment,
training, labor relations, and the employee recognition program.
Processed all staffing and new hire transactions and revamped the employee
and department filing systems.
Collected data on employment programs, created, compiled, and analyzed
data reports, and maintained monitoring systems.
