Traders and European

Shawnee. Animal skins
and furs were given to
the Europeans in
exchange for better
hunting and cooking
material such as knives
and guns.
THE INDIAN WAR
The Shawnee side with
the British and fight the
French in the Indian
War. As a result, the
French lost and lost all
claims to Canada and
gave Louisiana to
Spain. Britain received
the most French
properties.
BATTLE OF THE
FALLEN TIMBERS
The Shawnees lose the
Battle of the Fallen
Timbers in Toledo Ohio.
It was the Northwest
Indian Wars final
battle. After that, the
Treaty of Greenville was
signed as an aftermath.
THE REMOVAL ACT
Congress passes the
Removal Act, forcing
Indians onto reservations.
President Andrew Jackson
was the one who signed
the act into law. This
caused many Indians,
including Shawnee, to
leave their homeland.
