Abstract

This report refers to the work completed during my Internship with Pacer Motors Pvt Ltd;
In the department of Marketing Research and Sales from March 10
th
2014 to May 10
th
2014

The roles and responsibilities as an intern extends to large unexplored avenues that have
helped me learn a lot of new things along with the gained knowledge and experiences from
the class by and large. Few of the things covered in my progress so far are pertaining to the
disciplines of Customer Relationship Management and Market/Product Segment Promotion
when it comes to CRM; Pacer Motors use a unique Auto DMS package called Wings that
basically keeps a track of the Customer Profiles. Speaking about the other important role that
is of the Product/Segment Promotion, the major activities are compiled in this role because
one must know in depth regarding the product and also its competitors of the same segment
to have a competitive edge in this field, as it mainly deals with converting an enquiry into a
potential customer.
The Key Aspects that I have learnt so far in this program are how to operate the CRM
package and also learnt how to segregate the market based on various criteria and match the
products offered by Yamaha to the same. After finishing the Marketing Management Course
at College, I was able to substantiate a few important aspects with respect to the different
market segments in the country that was explained and relate to the same in reality. On
attending Prof. Krishs class I was able to use the information provided by him to prioritize
the needs and requirements of the market and make better decisions pertaining to choosing
the target segment at the given time.
Pacer Yamaha and Yamaha as whole strive to provide the best environment to its employees.
It follows the management principals of kaizen (continuous improvement), leadership, team-
work, empowerment, etc. Training and development programs for the employees are also
held from time to time to keep the employees updated with the market trends.
