Where: Los Angeles Southwest College
Start: July 1, 2014 this can be a yearlong position end spring 2015.
Pay: 15.46
Hours: 25 hours a week but can offer a position to the right student (s) for 10 hours per student.

Highlights of the job:
One-one-one with student interaction
Observing counselor with students in academic/career/personal counseling appointments
Learning the process of academic accommodations
Networking on a college campus
Attending professional development conferences
Opportunities to create and conducted academic workshops
Learn how to assist a student with a Student Educational Plan
How to assist a student with a graduation petition
Learn how to assist a student with a financial appeal, progress or academic probation
Office responsibilities:
Greeting students and answering quick questions
Assisting with academic accommodation request forms
Assisting students with registration
Assisting students on the phone or in person with important DSPS policy/procedures or campus
information
Assist with training student worker
Special projects as needed
