Brainstorming Sheet for Pre-Reflection/Reflection -Course End
Our students are kind of limited when it comes to
technology, therefore they do not have as much access
as they would need to facilitate this standard. However
they are exposed to
Students are required to collaborte with each other in
my classroom. I often have activities in which students
create their own arguments and methods for how to
solve various math concepts. I feel that if needed my
students can create using their own critical thinking but
also with technology if needed.
This is a struggle for our students. Many of our students
have no idea where to start when they need to
research. Many think that having one source is fine.

Critical thinking is a must in my classroom so my
students are frequently exposed to this. Often times
they must actively seek out the "why" answers to the
questions before they know the "what".
I feel that this is an area of growth for our district. I
don't see a lot of online citizenship among my students
nor do I see the desire for lifelong learning through
technology. They seem really hesistant.
We started using the DIGITS software by Pearson this
year so I feel that my students are gaining newer
insights into technology. They had to learn a brand new
technology and it went very smoothly with very little
hiccups. So I feel that many students are capable of this.

I try to think outside of the box as much as possible and
create lessons that require my students to think
critically as much as possible. Students must collaborate
frequently in my room in order to meet my classroom
expectations.
I try to do this as much as I can however as a district we
do not have access to that much resources. We are a
small district and there simply isn't enough money to
spread around and get fancy with the technology.
However when I am able to I try to tailor activities that
facilitate the use of technology.

be looking at and I make sure they are focused on their
work.
I participate in Twitter chats often as a form of
professional development. I have also taken advantage
of the free webinars that the state provides.
I am very adept at using various forms of technology. I
frequently use school messenger to communicate with
parents and have previously used Twitter and Facebook
as methods of communication.
