Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening Objectives: The student will: Rotate between three 15 minute reading activities. Read Hopscotch Daydream leveled reader. Answer comprehension questions relating to the reading selection. Read spelling words out loud. Build spelling words with letter cards. Follow the directions of a writing prompt. Phonics: Long /o/ & Long /u/ word building Skills Required: Reading with fluency, writing with capital letters and end marks, word building, and compliance/ attention to task. Review/Assessment: The teacher will evaluate student fluency, reading rate, and errors while reading. The students writing will be assessed for capital letters, punctuation, spelling, and focus.
