PYP 6 SHARING THE PLANET 2014

REFLECTION
THROW AND REFLECT
By Janice 6B
Think back over your learning. You can either roll a dice or answer the corresponding questions on
the sheet. If you get the number twice, dont worry-there can be more than one answer to questions.

1
I need to be more confident and enthusiastic and be more balanced because there were times when I dont participate actively
in discussions.
2
I would still like to know more about how one imbalanced ecosystem can affect another ecosystem by the interdependence. I
would also like to know more about the way organisms really interact with the abiotic components.
3
I think I study this topic so that I could be more aware of my environment and community and to realize that my action could
destroy a working interdependence. Not only that, it also makes me more knowledgeable and understands more threat to the
ecosystem and increase my knowledge about components. I also learnt a lot about mutations and evolution and how genetics
cause different physiological characteristics.
4
The important things that I learnt is about how each individual adapt to the environment. I also get to learn the causes of
adaptation and the process. Not only adaptations, I also learnt about interdependence which includes the food chain, food
web, reproduction and symbiosis. All of this is important because it makes me more globalized and able to understand the
world around me.
5
I think I have shown commitment because I also commit to my task and try hard to finish it on time. I see that my performance
did decrease from time to time and I think I tried harder to commit and do maximally on all available projects. I also showed
my independence in doing the majority of the task by myself with little or no help from the teachers. I think my independence
also helped me become faster at finishing my tasks because I dont rely on others.
6
In this unit I think I showed enough open-mindedness because I could accept different perspectives and willingly collaborate
with different people. I also showed my inquirer skill by displaying my works in detailed information and facts that I haven t
known before. I also showed my inquirer skill by asking questions and answering the teacher questions without being asked
to.
