Abu Dhabi

Among the 7 Emirates of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Abu
Dhabi is the largest Emirate and is located on the north-central.
It is known as the jewel of the 7 Emirates.
Abu Dhabi is the capital of the UAE and its history is very exotic.
History unveils a way of life known as Umm an-Nar (named after
the island where it was discovered). It arose before Christs time
in the 3
rd
millennium. The kingdom of Homuz and the
Portuguese nation have an influential impact to the emirate
specifically to the Abu Dhabi history.
Their culture included great fishing patterns and traditional oils
are very sacred to them
The population of the Emirate consists of 2.206 million.
The origin of the name means Father of Deer no one really
knows where it came from.
Abu Dhabi has a diverse and multicultural society
Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan is the hereditary ruler of Abu Dhabi.
The total number of members of the executive council has been
slimmed down to 98 since the succession.
Most of Abu Dhabi city located on the island itself but, only 30%
of the emirate is inhabited with the remaining expanses covered
mainly by desert. Abu Dhabi has a hot desert climate. The
cooler season is from November to March, January is the coolest
month in the year while July and August are the hottest.

Abu Dhabi holds 9% of the worlds oil reserves. It is one of the
wealthiest countries in the world and the wealthiest emirate out
of all seven. The government has been making some changes by
diversifying their economy.

To sum it all up Abu Dhabi is a diverse, financial, cultured,
political, populous country.
