Learning Outcomes
The students will correctly state five senses and match them with objects or actions after the classroom
activities.

Instructional Materials & Media
Popplet (visual-people), Easel.ly (visual-people)

Learning-Teaching Methods
Presentation- Drill & Practice

Teaching Activities
Teacher hangs classroom infographic of sense organs that is made in Easel.ly and asks children what
are common features of these pictures (You can see the material in Appendix 1). The infographic is
made with pictures because children are illiterate. She waits for childrens answers. After that,
teacher explains senses one by one (Group Activity). While explaining, she also puts pictures that
are related to the sense under every sense. After that, teacher hangs a concept map that is made in
Popplet on the board. She wants children to come board five by five, take picture from the box and
match them with the proper sense organs (Individual Activity). Meanwhile, children that will come
to board are chosen by teacher for avoiding chaos in the classroom. After their coming, she gives
verbal instruction to children about the rules of the activity that is each of them will be given one
picture and they should match them with the appropriate sense organ. Every child comes and
matches the pictures with the sense organs. Thanks to this matching, children can make practice
about what they learn. Teacher helps them when they are confused about pictures that they take
from the box. Children do not choose the picture by themselves; they take randomly without seeing
inside of the box. After all children stick the pictures, teacher says which pictures are stacked under
the senses. She finishes activity as making children repeated names of five senses and five sense
organs.
Summary
Teacher explains sense organs by using infographic and she makes a matching activity with using a concept
map.

Measurement & Evaluation
In this activity, teacher evaluates children during the matching part of the activity. Also, she gives children a
worksheet that contains a matching activity. (Individual Evaluation)

Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan
In this activity, visuals are important. Teacher should prepare large visuals as possible as she can. Also,
matching is important point in the activity. Teacher should interest in children who have trouble with
matching. Back-up plan is that if children want to match activity together and they do not wait for other
friends turns, teacher can determine their turns by a lot.

Learning Outcomes
The students will correctly identify seven internal organs after the classroom activity.

Instructional Materials & Media
Prezi (visual-people), Surveymonkey (text-people)

Learning-Teaching Methods
Cooperative Learning, Presentation

Teaching Activities
Teacher shows children a presentation that is made in Prezi. The presentation contains internal
organs. During the presentation, she explains organs one by one. She starts with the brain. She
explains functions and features of brain. During the explanation, she lets children to make
comments about their listening. After that, teacher wears the black garbage bag and asks children
whether or not they know why she wears it. After she listens children she says because she is
curious about her organs and thanks to this, she can be see pictures of her organs and asks them
whether or not they would you want to wear also. Then, she makes children wear them. On the
bags teacher drew the shadows or organs before the lesson. Then, she said that today their internal
organs will be visible. She pairs children. She gives children organs and she says that after she puts
her organs, they will put their friends organs. At the end of the activity, they repeat internal organs
together (Group Activity).
Summary
In this activity, teacher explains internal organs with Prezi presentation. After that they stick each ones organs
to make organs visible.
Measurement & Evaluation
In the evaluation of the activity, teacher sends parents an activity. In the activity, children lay on a large paper
and parent draws his body. After that, they together draw internal organs on the paper. By the time, teacher
prepares Surveymonkey that contains 10 questions about the internal organs. She sends its link via e-mail to
parents and wants them to make this with their children. According to results, teacher evaluates childrens
learning. (Group Evaluation)

Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan
In this activity, teacher can use Velcros for sticking organs because it is both easy and reproducible. Children
can work in pairs because they might have difficulties when trying to find right shadow for organs; however,
they can see more clearly in their friends body. In back up plan, if children cannot stick each others organs,
teacher can stick them one by one.

Learning Outcomes
The students will correctly describe basic parts of skeletal system and basic functions of it, and they will
correctly combine large bones images after the classroom activity.
Instructional Materials & Media
Stupeflix(video- people)

Learning-Teaching Methods
Presentation, Problem-Based Learning

Teaching Activities
Teacher makes children watch a video that is made in Stupeflix and named as The Skeleton Dance.
Then, teacher asks them whether or not they know what skeleton is. After listening answers of
children, she hangs a black carton the board. Then, she hangs a skeleton model on the black carton.
Black carton enables children to see the skeleton model more clearly because both the board and
the skeleton model are white. She introduces and shows skull, arm bones, hand bones, finger bones,
leg bones, thighbone, chest cage, backbone and ribs (Group Activity). After, she asks children why
we have skeleton and how would our bodies be if there were no skeletons. Then, she explains that
skeleton provides a framework that is shape, form and support, it enables us to move with our
bodies and it protects our organs. After, teacher says that she has small skeletons for children;
however, their bones are mixed to each other. She gives children envelopes that contain bones of
small skeletons. She gives them black cartons and glues. She waits for their putting bones together
and sticking them to carton (Individual Activity). Meanwhile, the big skeleton is still on the board for
facilitating childrens constitution of their own skeletons. At the end of the activity, teacher hangs
their skeletons on the walls.
Summary
Teacher introduces lesson with Stupeflix video and she explains skeletal system with a model. After that, she
makes children make a uniting activity with mixed bones.

Measurement & Evaluation
At the end of the activity, the part that children unite mixed bones is used as an evaluation. Teacher observes
children, asks them some questions during the activity and fills the check list for recording their understanding
about skeletal system and using in further activities (Individual Evaluation). You can see this check-list in
Appendix 2.
Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan
In the activity, bones should not be given in tiny pieces to children. They cannot hold them in their minds. The
body parts should be given in large pieces. In back up plan, if children cannot unite them, teacher can show
them the skeletal model and say them to benefit from it.

REFLECTION:
We choose the unit which is Our body because this topic is very complicated and utopian for early
childhood period. Therefore, we should tell and teach to children with the easiest way. In early childhood
education, children are illiterate. For this reason, teacher use the visual concepts in her/his lessons. This
method is necessary for teaching and learning process. Because the topic is complex, we separate the parts
of it. These are sense organs, internal organs and skeletal system. Divided the parts provides learning easily.
Moreover, it makes easier to comprehend whole topic in the end of process. We decided the objectives
thereby thinking about children needs and activities content. Our activities include science and art,
generally. These help us to determine the objectives. We use Popplet, Easel.ly, Prezi, Surveymonkey,
Stupeflix as of instructional materials and media. These are challenging for children. Additionally, we can
demonstrate the topic schematically. Thanks to them, we objectify the subject. We also use presentation,
drill & practice, cooperative learning, problem-based learning as for learning and teaching methods. In
learning process, children should observe, try and practice regularly. Thus, children reinforce the
knowledge. Thereby using instructional materials and media, we provide active participation both children
and parents. These presentations can be shared in online systems in this way time and time again; it can be
used for children by teacher and parents. After used these materials, we plan some implementation
activities for children. They apply subject that is observed to indicate visual. We use evaluating methods
which are Surveymonkey, individual assessment and practicing. We prefer evaluate the process with
children. Therefore, children awaken to their own mistakes and correct them.
