LaL a bug a day. The Challenge: Use recycled materials to create a new, useful product. Keep a homework log detailing your progress. Complete a class book page.
Guidelines: The Product: The product you create MUST be made with materials that have been recycled or you are reusing. DO NOT go out and buy materials for this project. You may use glue, tape, etc. that has not be reused, but your product should be almost entirely made out of recycled materials. The product you create MUST have a purpose or use. This is YOUR project. Parents may help by collecting materials, helping you research, etc. but the student must do the work. You may do research online (with parent permission) for ideas. Be prepared to share your new product with the class. You will be expected to share the purpose of your product, the materials used, and explain how the item was made. The Homework Log: You will be keeping a log of your work. Please write in it each day detailing the work you did toward completing this project. The Our Earth, Our Responsibility class book page: You will complete your page of the class book following the directions on the page. Your writing on this page should be neat, complete, and edited for convention errors.
