AFTER SCHOOL MATH CLUB

**Your child is being referred to math club by their current teacher**

The student teachers of Ebeling Elementary have been given the opportunity
to organize and implement an after-school Math Club. This is a great opportunity
for us to support our community and reach out to students that may need the extra
academic guidance.
Our goal is to help students gain a sense of academic responsibility and take
pride in their achievements. We are seeking to work with students who are
struggling with math concepts that may prohibit their math progression.
Accommodations will be provided in small group settings that involve direct
instruction as well as instruction using the interactive boards.

grade sessions will be held every Tuesday and Thursday in room 18 from
3:15 to 4:00pm. Your child may attend one day or both days.
Each student MUST have a recommendation from his or her teacher to take
part in Math Club.
Attached is a permission slip, which MUST be signed by a parent or guardian
for each recommended student. This verifies that you are responsible for
picking up your child at the office at 4:00 pm. Please include a contact
number for any emergencies. Students may have a snack at this time;
however, they must be PEANUT/TREE NUT free. Snacks will not be
provided.
The Math Club permission slip is attached. Please indicate Yes or No on the
attached form and return it to school. Please return it to Ms. Harris (student
teacher of Mrs. Bruce) in room 18 as soon as possible. Registration deadline is
Monday, October 21, 2013. Sessions will begin on October 22
