For artists or an art lovers alike, the DKG Fine Arts Gallery provides an exciting
DKG virtual art experience. Visit the Gallery in the Society website at
www.dkg.org/content/dkg-gallery-finearts.

The DKG Gallery of Fine Arts features a broad
variety of visual art as well as literary efforts, in-
cluding blog entries, book reviews, original es-
says, plays, poetry and short stories. You may also

PLANNING a
Creative Arts Retreat
Provide members a relaxed
atmosphere where they can be
creative with a Creative Arts
Retreat. Consider these factors
when planning a retreat:
How long will it be? Who
will attend? A retreat can vary
from one day to a weekend and
be for members only or include
the others in your community.
How often will we hold a
retreat? Whether once every
year or every biennium, the
retreat can be held in a favorite
place or a new one each year.
Where do we start? Decide
on a theme and logo. Plan group
activities and sessions centered
on the theme.
What will we do? Consider
such ideas as: storytelling,
creating a play using items
found in a paper bag, creating an
object such as a decorated hat
(then having a fashion show),
line dancing, jewelry making,
cross stitch, quilting, cake
decorating, flower arranging,
origami, book talk, card games,
signing, and stamping.
What else could we do?
Add more personal sessions
such as: make-up tips, relaxation
techniques, yoga, and exercise.
Bring in local artists, crafters or
historians to talk about the area.
Add a tour to local points of
interests and eat at a restaurant
for a culinary experience.
