We are the 4th year students from BSN Section 1 RLE 1B Batch 2015 and we are
currently conducting a descriptive correlational study entitled:

Correlates of Learning Styles, Gender, Year Levels and Critical Thinking Among
Nursing Students.

The purpose of this study is to determine the perceptions of nursing students from
different year levels about their learning style used in their lecture or discussion class.
Moreover, the research aims to know if students self-reported perceptions about
learning style will differ among each year level.
The following are the research questions of the study:

1. To what extent does the nursing students prefer to use the following
learning styles?

1.1 Visual
1.2 Aural
1.3 Read/write
1.4 Kinesthetic

2. Is there a significant difference in the learning styles of the students
when they are grouped according to:
2.1 Gender
2.2 Year level

3. What is the level of critical thinking skills of nursing students?

4. Is there a significant relationship between the preferred learning style and the level of
critical thinking abilities of the nursing students?
