SEPT. 2006-JUNE 2012 Sibley East Junior High Gaylord, MN
Language Arts Teacher
The curriculum design was both student and standards based with an emphasis on using cooperative groups to facilitate
knowledge acquisition. The management technique used was modeled after the Responsive Classroom/Developmental Design
philosophy, which requires students to be actively involved in both the management and learning process. All lessons were
data based with the use of tests, assignments, student interactions, Study Island outcomes, SMART Student Response Systems
assessment results, and NWEA testing results. Individualized interventions, such as the use of The Great Leaps Program, were
assessed, planned and implemented.

SEPT. 2003-JUNE 2006 Sibley East Elementary Gaylord, MN
First Grade Teacher
I planned differentiated, hands-on learning opportunities that were geared toward using ones strengths to build skills. Lessons
were always data and standard based with an abundance of student outcome reflections afterward.

PROGRAM DESIGN
Madelia Pre-K Redesign Became a four star rated during 2013-2014 school year, acquired scholarship funding in
relation to that, added day to four year old program (making three days per week), added bussing for all, and
researched and visited proven programs. Currently planning 2014-2015 implementation of four day, four year old
program, and two day, three year old program, staffing additions, spacing, parent involvement, ipads, SMARTboard,
and a new math and reading curriculum. All of this was in conjunction with our current pre-school special education
programming.
Madelia Elementary Reading Program 2012-2013 school year, established a curriculum search group to evaluate
needs and to choose a curriculum based on those requirements. After identified, there were three full staff
development days during summer of 2013 to aid in implementation.
Madelia Elementary Title I Program Summer of 2012, evaluated the present Title I format and reformatted the
scheduling and who were providing the interventions to make for a more streamlined data-based program that was
outcome based and tied to the evaluation tools that were already in place.
Madelia Elementary Targeted Service Program Designed the after school programing to reflect the specific
needs within each grade. The instruction was geared toward improving the skills that were shown as lacking via grade
level formative assessment tools.
Sibley East Junior High Response to Intervention Program During the summer and fall of 2010, the Sibley
East Junior High R.T.I program become a reality. I aided in choosing the intervention programs and data collecting
