Rickie Lambert first started out by putting lids on betroot jars.

And
when he started playing for a team he got told he is not good enough
to make it as a professional but he came back in style!
He first played for Blackpool which were in Division 1; then
Macclesfield Town ;then Stockport where he got the enclusive goal
to promote them.
The folowing season he got a transfer to Bristol Rovers, then to
Rochdale then Southampton; then England !!!! and made his debut
by scoring the winning goal against Scotland.
He is now is playing for Liverpool in the Champions League.
