campaign-inspired leather daybed
we envision being placed in front of
a long bookshelf lled with tales of
travel and adventure. Its designed to
be lled with throw pillowsI like to
mix one large-scale print with a solid
fabric and a smaller, ditzy pattern.

The Edison daybed is a new twist
on a neoclassical design. The lines
are architecturally strong yet still
appear aesthetically light due to its
steel-wire construction. I like the idea
of using this piece in a living room
to provide extra seating without
blocking the view beyond.

with just the right amount of detail.
I like this as a piece that separates
two spaces and can be accessed
from either side. More for parties
than sleeping, it would look great
upholstered in sexy linen velvet.

every night, if so inclined. Its minimal
prole makes it easy to tuck into tight
spaces. I would have a long boudoir
pillow made for the back and a tted
coverlet with ballerina slipcover ties
around the legs to customize it. At
78 inches wide by 41.3 inches deep,
this daybed also accommodates a
standard twin mattress.
