The Pratyangira aspect of the Divine has been a bit of a secret for most of these past ages.

Many believed
that direct experience with this energy was reserved for Saints and Rishis. Seeing Pratyangira in any form
was considered an enormous blessing, and an indication that you were in similar company.
Pratyangira comes from a deep, deep place within the Divine Mother an area simply !nown as the "oid. #n
the "oid there are no thoughts of fear, or pain, or loss, or want, or time, or even space$ %ust the warmth
of the Mother&s love.
's Pratyangira energy manifests, it&s often a very swift and sometimes ferocious current. Many of the
Saints who&ve seen it&s energetic expression have described it as half lion and half human. The lion head
is that of a male and the body is that of a female, representing the union of Shiva and Sha!ti. #n her full
form, she is humongous, with ())* heads +symbolically
representing the ())*,petalled Sahasrara -ha!ra, the universal cha!ra of the cosmic energy. and /)(0 hands,
riding ma%estically on a chariot pulled by 1 lions +representing the 1 "edas., carrying many swords for
removing obstacles. The %aws of so many lions ma!es it very powerful for destroying
negative !armas, and a great blessing for anyone on a spiritual path. 2owever, such a current can be
understandably rough, so it&s wise to approach with respect and some consideration of what our heart is
as!ing for.
Two Rishis in the ancient times, Pratyangira and 'ngiras, in their deep meditation, discovered this goddess
through her Moola Mantra in the ethereal waves of the sound current. 'nd though this Mother is nameless,
she honored these Rishis by giving the blessings to be named after them. She has hence
been !nown as Sri Maha Pratyangira Devi. The bee%a!sharam +seed letter. of her Mantra is !sham +bliss..

Sri Maha Pratyangira Devi is all powerful and secretly protects devotees and others. She is always by the
side of 2er devotees. She is within each and every being in all planes of existence, and there to be
awa!ened within.
'n awareness of Sri Maha Pratyangira Devi has been only 3uietly !nown, until recently. 'lthough the Siddha
Masters and great Maha Rishis li!e Sri Dhurvasha Munivar and Puli Paani Siddhar have been devotees of this
mother.
#t is in that line of great devotion that 'mma and Swami are servants to this Mother.

The immaculate genesis of the Goddess
"The panchaputhas" work inherently since its genesis ceaselessly with biota and abiota elements on this
biosphere. They carry all the messages from the tiniest to universe full magnification from all the yugas. Avathars,
Siddhars and Rishis performed yagam to destroy the evil / bad elements and protected the human and the earth
on Satyayuga, Trethayuga and Dvaparayuga and Kaliyuga.
In this Kaliyuga (the last yuga as per Hindu mythology) knowingly and unknowingly human enjoy sensual pleasures and
invite good or bad elements as per karmic load. Believe or not the karma can only be dispelled by intense internal prayers either by
reciting the "pranava", the OM or the "sakthi"the AUM; and at the merge both are one the same.
In the beginning of Satyayuga the Lord "arashima" the avatar o! "#$%U killed the unruly king %iranyakashibu by
tearing the body tissues and tasting the blood. By the anger in the body and malicious effects of human blood the !arashima "vatar of

SRI PRATYANGIRA
by Mantra C shlokas on 2ednesday, :ovember 'D, *D'D at ,:/,pm
(ri 4ratyangira has been described variously in various Tantras. :ikumbhila 5evi, whom you mentioned, who was worshipped by
Indrajit, ?avana8s son, is none but 4ratyangira.%owever, it is not that 4rathyangira 5evi did not support Indrajit8s upasana but that
bad karma took over. 2hen bad karma takes over by virtue of bad actions in this and previous births, then no amount of upasana
can save the person. This is to be understood properly. 2hat then would be needed is to do more vigorous sadhana with true
prayaschitta bhava.
2hat happened when Indrajit started to support his father8s bad karmaE) his own upasana became vyartha and %anuman went
ahead and destroyed Indrajit8s worship modality#7ruthya)prayogam$ This has nothing to do with 5evi 4rathyangira.Fou can substitute
the 5evi with any other divine shakthi.
It is said that even to this date, there is a particular spot where Indrajit started his worship for :ikhumbhala 5evi and many a Tamil)
Tantrics I know fre&uent that place.
4ratyangira is also seen as Mahasudarshana. 2hile 7artaviryarjuna is an -vatara of (udarshana Ghakra, the >walavatara of
(udarshana is said to be 4ratyangira.That is why it was easy for 7arthaveeryaarjuna to do his upasana for :ikhumbhala 5evi.
Many things run by 7arma and rinanubandhana, (rinivasB
Hne other legend which comes to my mind is that of 9ord (hiva whoassumed the form of (harabheshwara to calm :risimha.
(harabheshwara hugged :risimha tightly to calm him down but instead got wilder. :ow, both :risimha and (harabha startedcreating
havocB
(ri Mahatripurasundari ?ajarajeshwari 5evi then seeing this rigmarole, created the MahHgra rupa of Maha 4ratyangira devi, with
thousands of hands and thousands of lion faces.
This goddess, who is the most fierce form of (ridevi ever known, calmed both :risimha and (harabha by a mere laughter and
absorbed all their eenrgies. Thus, 4ratyangira represents the summation of the 0gra and Tivra (haktis of (hiva, (hakti and
:arayana.
(he holds in her, (harabha, :risimha and (hakti.
4ratyangira 0pasana is not a joke. I have repeated this often and to curious people in my group#see my older postings on the
subject$, dissuaded them from taking the upasana by merely seeing the ugra rupa and getting e"cited.
IspanJ(he may be worshipped by reciting 4ratyangira ?k#4aipaladeeyam$ or by Tantrokta mantras for Brahmi, :arayani, ?audri,
0gra 7ritya or -tharvana Bhadrakali 4ratyangira. Hf these, the most severe mantra is that of -tharvana Bhadrakali.IKspanJ
The Lksh...L beejam and 4rathyangira (tava)rajam are said to be especially very powerful as also prathyangira )ekaakshari.I refrain
from giving out the mantra as even if I type them and someone reads them, it forms a bit of an initiation from me, which I want to
avoid. Iam aware of the fact that some online sites#who have no idea what they are doing$ and some books available in the mantra
do reel out the mantras and beejas#however, I have seen that MM.M/N have made one mistake or the other, which will overtime of
cultivation by the reader give detrimental effects$.
(ri 5evi is also seen as the wife of (harabheshwara, whose other wife is (hulini 5urga. 4ratyangira 0pasana is generally possible
by only those who have obtained 4urna 5iksha of (rividya as 4ratyangira is the chief warrior goddess of (ri 9alita8s army. -lso for
shamana#cooling %er$ of the marmas after the upasana one needs to do certain mantras from the srividya lore, which can accrue
upon only through an initiation.
Hne needs to be e"tremly cautious during 4ratyangira 0pasana. =or every thousand recitation of her mantra, an e&ual number of
Bala needs to be done. (ome tantras also say that 'DD< repetitions of 6ayathri are needed for one mantra of prathyangiraB (uch is
the puissance.-ccording to 4ratyangira 7alpa of -kasha Bhairava Tantra, e&ual number of (harabha >apa is also necessary. The
side effects of this mantra are severe.
In the words of %arshaji of 7amakoti Mandali:LTo &uote a personal e"ample, every year during (hishira ?itu, Iundertake this
purashcharana for a month. 5uring this time, skin getscharred, eyes turn red, there is severe acidity and a sense of a hugeentity
residing within. By the end of 4urashcharana, it becomes sooverpowering that thousands of Bala mantra >apa becomes necessary
tocalm (ri 4aramba. 4ratyangira 5evi destroys all -bhicharas, 7ritrimasand can break most of the known 7rityas. 2ithout complete
guidancefrom an accomplished master, 4ratyangira 0pasana simply measn riskingone8s life. The easier way is to worship (ri
9alitamba through thedivine (ahasranama. By simply doing this, one gets protection from4ratyangira, (harabheshwara, +arahi and
Martanda BhairavaL.
9et me narrate one e"perience from my side tooB
I used to fre&uent one Tantric in Ghennai and finally after years of seva to %im, I learnt certain procedures for 4rathyangir-, including
a way to do a homa#using red chillies, cloves, etc$. I have stopped doing it at the behest of my (rividya 6uru who said L2e have
nothing to do with itL.
5uring those days, I had one LfriendL who was in business and he tempted me with good money and opportunities, to make me do a
krithya for him. %is intention was to decimate a guy in Indonesia. I said forthright, LI will not do such a thing, what harm has he done.
Aven if he has done some harm, it gives us no right to kill him, we have to bear our sufferings with a smileL. I tried to instill some
sense in him thus. But he would not listen and said LFou have backstabbed me, 6oodbyeBL. I just smiled and kept &uite as he leaved
in a huff.
:ow, this guy acting very pious and humble had taken from me a prathyangira mantra, few weeks before the face)off. This person
after the incident, used the very same mantra on meB (itting and doing in the night a procedure given by meB
Gan you attack your 6uruE#Though, i never arrogate myself to the position of a guru, if I give a mantra to someone, I automatically

-s I said before everything is determined by karma.
That night, I saw a hand#nakha)damshtra)yuktham$ strangling my neck. I could see just a white light and the e"perience was really

L 2hat wrong have i doneE 2hy this strangulationEL
(he then showed me a scene of this LfriendL of mine doing the krura)kruthya on me.
I then realiOed what had happened.
I then said L -mma, to die in your hands is my bhagya. Many millions of years of my papa will be decimated by your mere touch.Iam
a sinner, a total sinner and abhagyin, Iam thankful to #my friends name$ for doing this to me. 2ho will have the bhagya in this
kaliyuga to see you so freely and still talk with youB It is verily your karuna....L
I could not speak for some time.
I felt the hand on my neck releasing a bit but the white light was still there.
I then spoke out aloud.
L-mma -mma -mma....nandri nandri#thankyou in tamil$....atheetha kripaa meedhi#Lyour compassion is greatL...in telugu...when

Hi all,
pls send me all about shri maa pratyangira devi co. i m highly affected by many enemies./y mail is
vande0maataram*1234yahoo.com "nd 5ai0sindhu6*4yahoo.com.
The Pratyangira aspect of the Divine has been a bit of a secret
for most of these past ages. Many believed that direct experience
with this energy was reserved for Saints and Rishis. Seeing
Pratyangira in any form was considered an enormous blessing,
and an indication that you were in similar company.
Pratyangira comes from a deep, deep place within the Divine
Mother an area simply !nown as the "oid. #n the "oid there are
no thoughts of fear, or pain, or loss, or want, or time, or even
space$ %ust the warmth of the Mother&s love.
's Pratyangira energy manifests, it&s often a very swift and
sometimes ferocious current. Many of the Saints who&ve seen
it&s energetic expression have described it as half lion and half
human. The lion head is that of a male and the body is that of
a female, representing the union of Shiva and Sha!ti. #n her
full form, she is humongous, with ())* heads +symbolically
representing the ())*,petalled Sahasrara -ha!ra, the universal
cha!ra of the cosmic energy. and /)(0 hands, riding
ma%estically on a chariot pulled by 1 lions +representing the
1 "edas., carrying many swords for removing obstacles.
The %aws of so many lions ma!es it very powerful for destroying
negative !armas, and a great blessing for anyone on a spiritual
path. 2owever, such a current can be understandably rough,
so it&s wise to approach with respect and some consideration
of what our heart is as!ing for.
Two Rishis in the ancient times, Pratyangira and 'ngiras, in
their deep meditation, discovered this goddess through her
Moola Mantra in the ethereal waves of the sound current. 'nd
though this Mother is nameless, she honored these Rishis by
giving the blessings to be named after them. She has hence
been !nown as Sri Maha Pratyangira Devi. The bee%a!sharam
+seed letter. of her Mantra is !sham +bliss..

Sri Maha Pratyangira Devi is all powerful and secretly protects
devotees and others. She is always by the side of 2er
devotees. She is within each and every being in all planes of
existence, and there to be awa!ened within.
'n awareness of Sri Maha Pratyangira Devi has been only
3uietly !nown, until recently. 'lthough the Siddha Masters and
great Maha Rishis li!e Sri Dhurvasha Munivar and Puli Paani
Siddhar have been devotees of this mother.
#t is in that line of great devotion that 'mma and Swami are
servants to this Mother.

7rityas are mantric &eapons &hich are used to destroy a po&erful enemy or defend oneself from an attack. %here are five kinds of 7rityas, based on
the deity they are associated &ith9

<f these, 7rityas associated &ith ,ratyangira have been more popular. %hey are si'tyfour in number.
,ratyangira has four main forms9

1. nar"ya!I pratyangir"
2. raudrI pratyangir"
3. atharva!a bhadrak"li
=ach of these four has si'teen "ngavidyas, together resulting in 63 7rityas. =ach of the 7rityas have four mantric aspects9 vaidika mantra, bI5a
mantra, m(la mantra and m"la mantra. By using all these four in the prescribed pattern, one can obtain the Siddhi of the 7rityas. %hese 7rityas are
enumerated in "tharvana Bhadrakali 7hadgamala >br"mI, shIrSha!vatI, shatrupratik(l", "yuHnikrntanI, r"kShasakShayI, pashun"shinI,

/ost of these 7rityas are &eapons used to hit the enemy rather than defend oneself from attack. Hence, a Srividyopasaka needs to spend no time
mastering these mantras. "s ,ratyangira is uttaranga to /ahashodashi, and these constitute her anga devatas, they are used as anga mantras and during
"vara!a p(5" for ,ratyangira. %hat &ould be the only use of these mantras for a real Srividyopasaka, &ho is a mumukshu.
"s this is one of the most ferocious forms of amb", those &ithout the reBuired temperament and Bualification, should never attempt to undertake

/oreover, a Srividya (pasaka is automatically blessed &ith protection from ,ratyangira as clearly stated by Bhagavan Hayagriva, &ithout having to
specifically invoke pratyangir". ?hen one achieves the grace of the supreme Bueen Sri #alita /ahabhattarika, every mantra, kno&n and unkno&n,
