A very pleasant day.

We are concerned citizens from Baguio and Benguet who are greatly disturbed by the
massive destruction at the Sto. Tomas reservation of Tuba, Benguet, allegedly by a
politician. In that regard, we would like to commend the officers of the DENR for being
steadfast and true to their oath of protecting the environment by holding the said
perpetrator liable for the said environmental crimes.

As concerned citizens, we would also like to join in your environmental cause by
Planting Trees on July 12, 2014, hopefully at the area where the destruction and cutting
of trees were done. We plan to at least do something to replace the trees that were cut
hence, we pray for your assistance in doing this, as we coordinate the same with your
office. To our delight, an officer of the DENR also told us that your office may provide us
with the seedlings for the activity that is why we are very grateful because we know that
you will assist us in this endeavor.
