This brochure contains information

about a research of the impact of

music on children (psychologically
and educationally). It is a part of
Mo project schedule, Lifelong
Learning Programme Comenius. 50
students from each school, partners
in the projects from Bulgaria, Den-
mark, Poland and Turkey, have been
questioned about this impact.

The impact of music on children is unique.
Music enjoys them, enrich their observations, form
aesthetic, moral and volitional attitude to the
world, it develops their mental capabilities. What
have to be noted is that the results of the question-
naires are mostly identical, but there is significant
difference in preferences of the students to folk
music and to electronic music and their impact on
them.
According to the questioned students in
Bulgaria, Denmark, Poland and Turk1sey:
1/ Most of them don`t like listening to classical
music. But all students think that classical music
affects well on human psyche and mentality.
2/ Concerning folklore music, it becomes clear
that this style of music is more favorite for Bulgar-
ian and Polish students whereas in Denmark and
Turkey more students don`t like this style of music
But all pointed that folk music affects them emo-
tionally rather well.
3/ It becomes obvious that highest percent of stu-
dents in the four countries prefer listening to pop
and disco music, because it makes them feel very
good.
4/ The same is percentage of questioned about
style rock and R & B music, all of them think
this music affects their emotions positively and
makes them feel good.
5/ Highest percentage of questioned in Denmark,
Poland and Turkey prefer house and techno music.
The percentage is lower in Bulgaria but all of the
students believe that these styles of music affects
their mood well.
