Meeting with the BlackBoard Coordinator has given me a di''erent point o' view as 'ar as what is%is not
possible, and why 6 know she is very will to do anything to help with the needs o' the group, but there are
simply limitations to the design o' the shell 6t will take a very collaborative e''ort having to work so
closely with the needs o' three di''erent groups4 AT Coordinator, AT team, and BlackBoard Coordinator
So 'ar, this e*perience has taught me that 6 need to be very precise and comprehensive with having my
5uestions ready when asking 5uestions to these groups

Many o' the links 'rom the previous ATsite were outdated and 6 had to search 'or current in'ormation that
was relevant, give pertinent in'ormation, and do it in a timely way 8nce 6 'ound this, 6 had to save it in the
right 'ormat so it would be accepted in the BlackBoard shell This 9ust took much longer than 6 thought
:ossibly because 6 was un'amiliar with working in this environment, or the time drain o' having to search
'or the most appropriate current arti'act to embed in BlackBoard &egardless, it was a time consuming step
in this process

This was another step in the process that took much longer than 6 anticipated The Blackboard
environment, like the web environments we<d worked with be'ore )Weebly+ doesn<t respond like you
think it should, even though you work slowly and methodically 6t took longer to get the desired look and
results 6 wanted, and some things 9ust couldn<t be done in this environment There were lots o' emails with
the BlackBoard Coordinator to determine this, as well as time spent on Atomic =earning working on the
BlackBoard tutorial 6' 6 were e*perienced with this tool be'ore beginning this process, 6 know this would
not have taken me so long to construct this site

collaborative tool by the team and added to the BlackBoard

This will be a very use'ul collaborative piece to the BlackBoard shell4 the ability 'or any o' the team
members to use the calendar to post a training session they are conducting, the location, and time 6 wasn<t
sure i' this could be done, so it took the BlackBoard Coordinator<s help to get it started on 7oogle, but we
were able to work it through

This survey was constructed to determine i' people visiting the site were able to 'ind the in'ormation they
were seeking 6t also attempts to determine i' the user<s e*perience could be enhanced >ach page o' the
BlackBoard shell has a place to engage the survey in hopes that visitors will use it

very pleased with this tool

The BlackBoard shell was shared with the AT team at a sta'' meeting The group is very e*cited to have
the interactive portions o' this tool They are also e*cited to have the interactive signature that will allow
them to link directly to BlackBoard without the need to login

?ot having many respondents to the survey 8ne reason may be that the Cobb is using not updating
browsers4 but the survey is linking to a browser that causes the respondents to cut and paste the U&= into
an address window vs a direct link Although the survey is only " 5uestions, this e*tra step may stop
teachers 'rom answering the survey
