Thool pakoda - Onion Pakoda

Ingredients
1/2 cup - Besan / Kadalai Maavu
1/2 cup - Rice flour
2 - Onions
1 tsp - Butter/ Ghee
1/4 tsp - Cooking soda
1/2 tsp - Grated Ginger
1 - Green chilli
Curry leaves- 2 sprigs
Coriander leaves - 1 small bunch
Oil to Deep Fried
Salt to taste.
Method
1. Thinly slice the onions.
2. Mix the rice flour and besan (gram flour) in a wide bowl.
3. Crush the green chilly in a pestle.
4. Then combine the salt, sliced onions, grated ginger, crushed green chilly, curry leaves
and coriander leaves and ghee/butter and mix well.
5. Keep aside for 10 mins.
6. Now heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
7. Then sprinkle a portion of the mixture onto the oil on a medium fire until golden
brown.
8. Drain in the kitchen towel and repeat for the rest of the mixture.
9. Serve with tea/coffee.
