To whom it may concern: I am applying for the Registered Nurse position in the Intensive Care Unit on 4 Heart. I will be graduating from Ferris State University in August and plan on taking my boards in September. I had a really great experience as a nursing student at Ferris State and gained knowledge and skills that have prepared me to be a Registered Nurse. During my clinical rotation, I had the opportunity to work on 4 Heart for six weeks. After working there for just a few short weeks, I knew that it was a floor that I could see myself working on permanently. The hard work, teamwork, collaboration and compassion that I saw from not only the nurses but all members of the healthcare team, is something that I would love to be a part of. As a student athlete the past 4 years, I have learned the importance of being a good team member, working hard and managing time. I have also had personal experience in ICU when I lost my father to cancer a year ago. That experience alone has made me a more compassionate, caring, loving and genuine person and nurse. I feel as though my experience as a student nurse, determination as a student athlete and occurrence of losing a father, have all prepared me to be qualified as a Registered Nurse for you. Thank you for considering my candidacy and taking the time to look over my resume. I would be open to speaking with you in person or over the phone. I can be reached day or night at (937)623-2659. Sincerely, Kylie Muntz
