1. Group Reflection

In this chapter, Joseph was called to interpret the pharaohs dream about the
coming seven years of plenty and the following seven years of famine, but he was
able to make an excellent plan, which made the pharaoh appointed him as the
second powerful man in Egypt.

In this chapter also we see how God uses Joseph as his channel of blessings to
other people. Joseph uses his sphere of influence to improve things such as
making a plan that would counter the seven years of famine by storing some
food in the seven years of plenty.

Our God really is amazing because He doesnt want His people to suffer from any
kind of agonies. But do you think that we will do the same thing for Him? Every
time we sin is like putting Him again in that cross, suffering from the pain, blood
loss and everything. People nowadays are living in a sinful and immoral manner.
Now is the time that we need to step forward and put behind our sins and start
fresh, start new life.

Reading this gospel gave us a self- realization about ourselves, what really is our
purpose here on earth? Some of us may not know yet but we know that God
wants us to be a good daughter/ son to our parents, a hard- working students at
school, a loving and caring sister/ brother at home and many more.

The Lord gives us dreams because He wants us to build our faith. He uses a
predictable pattern. If you able to understand it, you can cooperate with Him
creating a greater faith. When God wants to work with your life, the first thing He
will do is to give you a dreamabout yourself, the things He wants you to do and
about how will your life going to impact the world. Just like what He did to
Joseph. God gave him a dream to be a leader so that His people will be saved
from seven years of famine.

God will never give you anything that will contradict his truth. In other words,
He won't tell you to do something like leaving your family, hating people and
doing the same mistake you already did. Our God is an abundant God, a generous
one, a forgiving, a powerful and an amazing God. We should not abuse His
kindness and start walking the same path His taking.
