Write an essay in English about your participation in the immersion
program in Providence.

In my point of view, immersion is an excellent program that uses
different strategies to enhance fluency and Phonetic processes as well
as spontaneous listening comprehension because all the activities of
this method are monitored by bilingual and native teachers who
participate in each of them.
We have to thank you for all the trouble that you went to in help us with
the purpose of improving our teaching strategies in our Colombian
Schools through this immersion program for English Teachers.
It could be said you were only doing your job and does not require
thanks. However, we believe that your attentiveness and interest in our
needs went beyond the call of duty.
English immersion program is very important for the Colombian
teachers because we have learned different student centered teaching
methods shift the focus of activity from the teacher to the learners.
These methods include active learning in which we solve problems,
answer questions, formulate questions of their own, discuss about
context situations, explain, debate or brainstorm during class through a
cooperative learning.
In conclusion, I am happy to say that now everything is going much
better because I have an intercultural experience with the immersion
program and I thank for our immersion tutors because everything was
planned and It was a beautiful experience for all English teachers.
