WHY LIBERTY GAP COVER?

The aim of Liberty Gap Cover is to cover the shortfall between your Medical Scheme disbursements
and medical practitioner charges in the event that you are hospitalised. It also has the added benefit
of paying for out-of-hospital and personal accident expenses.
Why does this gap exist?
As a medical scheme member you may be surprised to learn that your Medical Scheme only covers
costs in line with the recommended Medical Scheme Tariffs (MST).
The medical specialists assigned to your healthcare may charge you as much as four times the MST.
What this means is that you will be liable for the difference between your medical scheme payouts
and the specialist fees, leaving you saddled with unexpected and exorbitant costs.
What will this gap cover cost me?
Your monthly contribution will cover an unlimited number of dependants, including adults, without
age restrictions.
