INTRODUCTION TO PPC3

• PPC3 was formed in Feb’06 as an additional facility to existing PPC1

and PPC 2.
• Project Execution & Quality control directly under L&T’ supervision.
• QA Manual & QC System of PPC3 is under the same management
system of HED-Powai.

 Approach of PPC3

Since PPC3 is operated by contractors, all the issues are

focused towards motivating for high quality & productivity.

 Critical mass of each contractors is identified and care is taken to

maintain & retain them during lean period.
 These critical mass workers are motivated by continuous
interaction & on-job training
 Weekly planned meetings with PMG.
 Extensive Training of young engineers for

 Up-gradation of technical knowledge.

 Job specific training by experts & seniors.
