The first ever book review was one of the
most revealing meetings the RMU has ever
held. The meeting was anchored by Pastor
Femi Sanusi, with Pastors Pade Durotoye
and Tonye Cole assisting. We had the op-
portunity to review a book that was sold to
us at a subsidized rate in the month of
March, titled ‘FINISHING STRONG’.This
is a unique book that clearly highlights
innocuous pitfalls that conspire to prevent
an astounding percentage of God fearing
men from finishing the earthly walk well.
men finish strong, which in itself is terrible in all
ramifications when compared to what God desires
for His children and how He would prefer them to
end.
Various exhortations were given by different people
on specific and very important pages of the book.
The most inspiring moment of the gathering was
when the Real Men decided to take charge in a “No
Holds Barred’ rendition of challenges they have
faced as they struggled to finish strong in their mar-
riages, with their children, the onslaught of another
woman and estranged father son relationships etc. It
was clear to all that finishing strong is a day to day
mission that requires personal conviction, vigilance,
alertness and the grace of God. Meetings like this
always leave us with much food for thought and we
left the venue pondering the question ‘what ambush
awaits me tomorrow?” Nevertheless, one thing was
for sure, the Real Men departed with a strong and
evident determination to finish strong regardless of
what it takes.

CHUCKLES
A criminal with a long record of transgressions was on trial for his latest crime. The jury found him
guilty on 33 counts and the judge sentenced him to 189 years. Realizing that even with time off for
good behavior he would be over one hundred when he was released, the prisoner burst into tears.
Noting this display of remorse, the judge reconsidered. He said, "I didn't mean to be so severe.
Thinking it over, I can see that I've imposed an extremely harsh sentence. So you don't have to
serve the whole time." The prisoner beamed with new found hope until the judge leaned toward
him and said, "Just do a much as you can."
