The club will examine how forensic science is applied at the crime scene and throughout laboratory analysis and procedures by introducing students to a variety of different specialty areas within forensics, including fingerprints, trace evidence, impression evidence, and more!
No academic prerequisites, however this club deals with some graphic content. Parents are asked to sign a permission slip at the beginning of the club, but we also expect students to be mature when dealing with this content. Not only will the student learn about these topics, he or she will have labs to gain hands-on experience. Illegal substances and objects will not be available to the students. However, some graphic demonstrations, pictures, videos, and illustrations are included in the club so as to further the understanding of certain topics. It is important to note that to convict criminals; one must first understand the circumstances of criminals, the crimes they commit, and the tools that are used to commit them. Here is what you can expect from the CSI: Milwee club this year.
