An exciting opportunity has come up within Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshires Scientific Support
unit. Based at Welwyn Garden City.
The Forensic Laboratory delivers 17025 accredited fingermark enhancement services to Bedfordshire,
Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Police. Located in a purpose built and well equipped laboratory, our trained
Laboratory technicians undertake a variety of chemical treatment on exhibits retrieved from crime scenes and at
crime scenes capturing enhanced marks utilizing relevant and often specialist light sources.
We would like to hear from anyone with the confidence and professional attitude necessary to recover critical
evidence from serious crimes using specialist and advanced techniques and technology.
Person requi rements
We are looking for self-motivated individuals to join our busy team who have good communication skills, an eye
for detail, and the resilience to keep trying even when faced with challenging and complex situations.
If this is you and you can perform to the highest standards whilst under pressure, we would be interested to hear
from you.
The successful applicants will have a good standard of education, ideally with a science based qualification,
with proven skills in numeracy and literacy. Experience of working in a laboratory, previous forensic experience
or a photography qualification is desirable.
