Essay Recycling Campaign

Last Saturday, the students of SK Taman Rinting 2 held a recycling

campaign. The members from the recycling club participated the campaign
and a few other students from diferent clubs also joined them. The
campaign was organized to raise money for charity. The teachers also
helped the students.
Once all the students had assembled in the school feld, they were
divided into groups of eight or nine. Each group were then given a map of
the neighbourhood and a teacher would company them to each house.
They asked the occupants of the house for recycling items.
They started their task at 8.00 a.m. They collected many
newspapers ,cans and bottles .They explained their motive of the campaign
to the occupants before asking for recycled items. They also gave a badge
to each occupant who contributed the recycled materials. Then they
gathered all the recyclable items in front of the school compound.
After a few hours, the students had already completed the task that
was given to them. They ended their campaign at 11.00 a.m. A recycling
truck then loads the entire collected item and paid a sum of money. A few
teachers also pitched in some money for the charity. They have collected a
total amount of RM400.
Before going home, the teachers gave the students a treat for their
hard work. They brought the students to a restaurant nearby . The students
thanked the teachers and enjoyed the meals. They felt proud of themselves
for doing a good deed. They also helped to keep the environment clean.
