In English II this year, my goal is for all students to grow as active
readers, critical thinkers and thoughtful writers. To achieve these
goals, you will:
Create a body of work that will serve as a basis for future
products
Learn independently though selfassessment, peer editing and
group activities
!ork in collaborative teams
Complete performancebased assessments

for all unexcused tardiness. If teacher assigned detention is
skipped, infraction will be referred to disciplinary dean.
Come to class prepared to learn.

In order to be successfulF
&ower school:
Students have full time access to their updated grades in English
10 through the parent portal. It is imperative that students and
parents are checking the power school portal as necessary.
$ake ;p &olicy:
Late, missing, or incomplete assignments may be turned in up to
!E "EE# after the original due date for L$%E &'E(I%. If a
student attends Saturday school, full credit will be considered.
$fter one week, work will not be accepted unless e)tenuating
circumstances e)ists and I have been noti*ed of them.
