Course Outline:
At Penticton Secondary School, Peer Tutors provide their fellow students with the
opportunity to find success by assisting them with their studies and supporting their
learning in various classroom settings. Students are supervised, evaluated and directed
by the sponsor teacher(s).
Peer Tutors are an invaluable resource as they play an integral roll in the learning
process and contribute greatly to student success
at Penticton Secondary School.
Expectations: Peer Tutors will
Attend each class on time.
Be prepared.
Participate to the best of their ability.
Wor closely with the sponsor teacher to assist and support instruction.
!espect all students and teachers.
Attend all Peer Tutor "eetings.

Sponsor teachers will provide regular verbal feedbac to the Peer Tutors.
0ach term, Peer Tutors will complete a written self1evaluation (234& that they will
share with their sponsor teacher(s&, for discussion purposes.
0ach term, the Sponsor teacher will complete a written evaluation of the Peer Tutor.
(534&. A copy of the evaluation may be attached to the student(s report card. Attached
are copies of both the Peer Tutor(s Self 0valuation and the Sponsor Teacher(s
0valuation.
Sponsor Teachers may re6uire additional assignments that could include a 7ournal or a
daily self1evaluation.
