There are measures you can take to ease sore muscles after exercising. Avoid heat for the
first day of soreness because applying heat within the first twenty-four hours can increase muscle
soreness and stiffness. In contrast, applying cold immediately will reduce inflammation. Cold
also restricts blood vessels and keeps bloody away from injured muscles. You can apply cold in
two ways: with a cold shower or an ice pack. You can also reduce inflamed muscles with aspirin,
ibuprofen, or another anti-inflammatory medication. When healing occurs, you need to rest. A
day or two after overdoing exercise, you can get some light exercise and a gentle massage.

After lengthy reasoning, he concluded that carcinogens [cancer-causing substances] could
be treated like automobiles. We shouldnt give in to a fear of cancer; instead, we should consider
all aspects of the problem in a balanced and dispassionate frame of mind. For instance, we
should total the benefits received from potential carcinogens (plastics, pesticides, and other
similar products) and measure the total against the damage done by such products. Automobile
are scrutinized in the same light. For example, automobiles produce pollution, and instead of
responding irrationally, we have decided to live with them (while simultaneously working to
improve on them) for the benefits brought to society as a whole.
