Are plants conscious?

I dont think plants can really think. I think that they can feel more or less. For a plant to
grow there has to be something in them controlling their growth. When their leaves turn to
face the sun there has to be something telling them where to go.
In the Myth Busters episode, Talking to plants seven small greenhouses were set up
with plants inside. Six of the green house was set up with speakers play looping recordings. Two
of these spoke negatively, another two spoke positively. The fifth green houses speaker played
classical music and the sixth played death metal music. The seventh greenhouse was used as
the control, with no stereo.
Overall the greenhouses with the recordings of the speeches grew better than the
control did, regardless if the speech was positive or negative. The greenhouses plants with the
speakers playing classical music grew even better. The plants that grew the best were in the
greenhouse with the speakers playing death metal music.
So maybe plants are affected by sound waves. It could not be something on a telepathic
level, or the thoughtless speakers could not have affected the plants. It could be possible that
they could have some sort of a mind, not one that thinks, but controls how plants move
around. It could possibly be sort of like the way our hearts involuntary pump, how our
stomachs digest without us telling them to, or even how we grow.
