NEW GENERATION AIRPLANES

The speed of commercial aircraft is around 800-900 km/h and

the fuel consumption is very high, as the amount of harmful
chemicals gases released into the atmosphere.

The new generation of aircraft will have to use less fuel and
reduce their levels of noise.

Boeing 767
This aircraft was designed for long range, is one of the preferred models
of commercial passenger flights.

The 767 has been modified for use as military aircraft such as
the E-767, aircraft refueling KC-767 and KC-46, and VIP
transport aircraft.

E-767 Japan
KC-767
Boeing 777
The B-777 is the airplane in the world that holds the record for
the longest distance traveled nonstop in the category of
commercial aircraft, with the ability to fly from Dubai to Santiago
de Chile.

The Boeing 777 can carry from 301 to 365 passengers.

In some parts of the controls surfaces Boeing has introduced
carbon fiber and many hardened resins
The diameter of the GE engines in Boeing 777 is as wide as the cabin of the
Boeing 737.

Their turbofan engines are more efficient and noiseless to propel the aircraft.

It has six wheels in each main landing gear.
A380
It has a maximum capacity of 853 passengers.

Composites materials represent over 20% of the whole structure of the
A380.

Has winglets in order to avoid turbulence and increase efficiency in fuel
consumption and performance.
One of the challenges of the A380 was to prove the use of
synthetic fuel in this commercial aircraft.

Is able to organize in an autonomously way the distribution of
fuel to all the airplane.

APU IS 20% more powerful.
Another new generation airplanes
The aircraft is harmful to the environment, because the
engines incinerators reduces the nitrogen oxide pollution by
75%.

The tail is in V inverted. This configuration is to reduce the
sonic booms.

Several aerospace companies are working to develop faster, cheaper,
ecological, friendly and safe commercial aircrafts.

New forms of wings
One of the main challenges for aeronautical engineers is to
reduce fuel consumption, to make the aircraft more efficient
and more ecological. All this changing the shape of the wings.
