SCHOOL MODEL FOR FORMING THE PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENT AS A
READER: PROBLEMS AND PERSPECTIVES

ABSTRACT
In contrary to the spirit of the current educational reform the school model for
formation of readers competences in the initial educational stage remains subject-centered
instead of personality-oriented. The aim of our research is to identify by means of swot
analysis the problems and opportunities for development of the model in the paradigm of the
communicative activity type of education for formation of the reader.
