    In our pursuit to liberate the education of our children, the first step is to work with teachers to refuse the testing from Smarter Balanced (or PARCC). In Oregon SBAC is the test that is being used. This is in introductory letter with very little legal terminology in it. I think we will find the teachers and principals to be receptive to this request. Once you have enough opt-outs, you can start talking about changing the curriculum.

    Third,pleasecreateateacher-developedportfolioassessmentforeachofourkids.
    Thiswillreflecttheauthenticteachingandreallearningdeliveredbyourkidsteachers.
    Wewouldaskthatyouandtheteachersthatourkidsinteractwithplacesamplesof
    workinthisportfolioandthatwemonitorandreviewthisportfolioeachgradingperiod.
