Marriage Contract

I. The Authority
In the Name of God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ, we,
Maria Leao and Aleander !elgado, here"y, "efore these witnesses,
are #oined in holy matrimony, as God intended in Genesis $% $&'$(, from this
day forward until death.
The Authority in and for this marriage shall "e Almighty God as
re)ealed in the *oly +i"le, Authori,ed &-&& .ing James /ersion 01the 2ord
of God34. *is words shall "e final Authority in e)ery decision and5or dis6ute.
II.The 6arties
Aleander !elgado is a man of sound mind and character, and of
lawful age, attesting to the Lordshi6 of Jesus Christ and the 6reeminence of
the 2ord of God.
Maria Leao is a woman of sound mind and character, and of lawful
age, attesting to the Lordshi6 of Jesus Christ and the 6reeminence of the
2ord of God.
III.The +enefits
+oth of the 6arties shall ha)e the usual and customary duties of
marriage including, "ut not limited to, the following%
Mutual seual congress
It is s6ecifically agreed that each 6arty will endea)or to maintain high
standards of hygiene and 6hysical fitness so as to remain attracti)e one
to the other.
Mutual society
Mutual rearing of children
Mutual su66ort, including, "ut not limited to%
Financial% although the *us"and shall "e the 6erson who wor7s
outside the home 6rimarily so long as he is a"le. 8o long
as the *us"and is the 6arty who is the 6rimary 6ro)ider of
income into the home, the 2ife shall "e the 6erson
6rimarily res6onsi"le for childcare, house7ee6ing,
coo7ing, and cleaning.
It is agreed that until such time as the 6arties ha)e accumulated
enough wealth where"y the sur)i)or of the 6arties could rely on
such wealth for all his or her sustenance for a 6eriod of no less
than &9 years, life insurance will "e ac:uired and 6aid for to
6ro)ide enough money for said term of sustenance.
Moral% +y eam6le and "y ehortation.
I/.The ;rohi"itions
The following acti)ities or "eha)iors shall "e considered )iolations of
the marriage contract%
Adultery%
Adultery is defined as any seual acti)ity or conduct with any 6erson
or 6ersons not a 6arty to this agreement.
A"andonment%
A"andonment shall "e defined as either the filing in state court of any
instrument see7ing either legal se6aration or legal dissolution of the
marriage, or desertion from the marital home for a 6eriod of no less
than si months ' whether su66ort is 6aid "y the deserting 6arty or not.
A"ortion%
A"ortion shall "e defined as the deli"erate termination of the life of a
child after fertili,ation "y any means, or the use of a"ortifacient "irth
control chemicals or de)ices.
Assault against a 6arty or child of this marriage%
Assault is defined to "e in#urious or 6otentially in#urious unwanted
6hysical contact. A child of this marriage shall include any child of
either 6arty who is li)ing with the 6arties and any ado6ted child.
Criminal "eha)ior%
Criminal "eha)ior shall "e defined as one 6arty<s willful and ongoing
acti)ities in )iolation of law such as would su"#ect that 6arty and5or the
household to criminal sanctions and incarceration.
!angerous "eha)ior%
!angerous "eha)ior shall "e defined as one 6arty<s willful 6artici6ation
in "eha)ior that has not "een agreed u6on "y "oth 6arties that su"#ects
the other 6arty and5or the household to 6hysical danger.
=#ection%
=#ection shall "e defined as one 6arty<s e#ection of the other 6arty.
=#ection is the remo)al of the other 6erson from the marital home.
=#ection need not "e "y force to "e 6rohi"ited "y this agreement.
=#ection may "e demonstrated "y remo)al of the other 6arty<s 6ersonal
6ro6erty from the marital home, the changing of the loc7s, or the mere
demand "y one 6arty that the other 6arty lea)e the marital home.
*a"itual drun7enness or drug intoication%
*a"itual drun7enness or drug intoication, whether criminal or not and
whether the result of an illness or not is 6rohi"ited. *a"itual
drun7enness or drug intoication shall "e deemed to include a 6arty<s
"eing under the influence of alcohol or drugs to a noticea"le or
6erce6ti"le degree more often than ( days 6er month.
It is s6ecifically agreed and understood that "ecoming 6hysically or mentally
ill is not 6rohi"ited conduct. The other 6arty<s "ecoming 6hysically or
mentally ill is not, in itself, 6rohi"ited "y this contract and cannot "e
the "asis for see7ing a remedy under this contract.
It is s6ecifically agreed and understood that "ecoming financially 6oor is not
6rohi"ited conduct.
/.To 2hom A66eal is Made
The first a66eal, when one 6arty "elie)es the other 6arty has )iolated the
6rohi"itions a"o)e, shall "e in accordance with Matthew &>% &('&>,
that is, the offended 6arty shall ta7e the matter to the accused 6arty.
If no resolution results from the first a66eal, may demand 6hysical se6aration
from the accused 6arty. 8ee 1The remedies3 "elow.
If no resolution results from the first a66eal, the offended 6arty shall ta7e the
matter to the accused 6arty with two or three im6artial witnesses.
Mem"ers of either 6arty<s family are not im6artial, neither are friends
of either or "oth 6arties.
If no resolution results, the offended 6arty shall call for a & Corinthians -% &'(
6anel to #udge the matter. 8uch a 6anel shall "e conducted strictly in
accordance with "i"lical guidelines in & Corinthians -% &'(. The 6anel
shall consist of three "isho6s or deacons 01elders34 of the Christian
church who are in conformity with & Timothy ?% &'&?. =ach 6arty shall
choose one of two elders from the church at which the 6arties ha)e
"een attending within the last year 0or one from each church, if the
6arties attend different churches4. A third elder shall "e chosen "y
agreement "etween the other two. If the accused 6arty refuses to select
an elder, then the elder selected "y the offended 6arty shall select two
other im6artial elders for the 6anel.
The 6roceedings of the 6anel shall "e recorded to whate)er etent 6ossi"le.
The standard of 6roof shall "e 6re6onderance of the e)idence.
If a 6arty is found to "e at fault, the 6anel shall render a decision in writing
concerning se6aration or di)orce, concerning financial su66ort, and
concerning 6hysical custody of the children.
All decisions of a & Corinthians - 6anel shall "e "inding u6on the 6arties for
6ermanent se6aration or di)orce.
The 6re)ailing 6arty shall file a ci)il action in state court to memoriali,e and
6u"lish the & Corinthians - 6anel<s decision. The non'6re)ailing 6arty
s6ecifically agrees to allow the 6re)ailing 6arty to win a default
#udgment in the ci)il action in state court or to 6ay the 6re)ailing
6arty<s attorney fees incurred in the ci)il action in state court.
/I.The @emedies
@esolution and reconciliation%
@esolution and reconciliation shall "e defined as counsel from godly
ministers, of sound mind and character and "elie)ers in the 2ord of
God, in any attem6t to resol)e circumstances and issues related to any
)iolation of the a"o)e 6rohi"itions.
8e6aration%
8e6aration shall "e defined as the lea)ing of or remo)al of one 6arty at
the demand of another 6arty "ased u6on allegation0s4 of )iolation0s4 of
the contractual 6rohi"itions a"o)e. 2here 6hysical se6aration is
initiated, the accused 6arty shall lea)e the domicile, es6ecially where
children are 6art of the household. A6on se6aration, all financial
su66ort customarily made "y the accused 6arty, shall continue.
;hysical custody of any children shall remain with the offended 6arty.
The se6aration demanded, unless otherwise agreed u6on or ordered,
shall last no longer than B9 days unless the allegation0s4 are )erified "y
6re6onderance of the e)idence "efore either a & Corinthians - hearing
or in a state court of law. @esolution and reconciliation may 6roceed "y
mutual agreement. A6on a showing that the allegation0s4 of contractual
6rohi"itions are true, either to a & Corinthians - 6anel or a state court,
the se6aration will "e deemed 6ermanent, su"#ect to future
consideration, resolution, and reconciliation initiated "y the 6re)ailing
6arty. In the e)ent of 6ermanent se6aration, all the usual and customary
financial su66ort for the household, including any children, 6ro)ided "y
the non'6re)ailing 6arty shall continue una"ated. The 6re)ailing 6arty,
may, under the laws of the state of residency, file with the state for a
ci)il se6aration. The non'6re)ailing 6arty shall not contest the ci)il
se6aration, the su66ort agreements herein, or the child custody
agreements herein in state court.
!i)orce%
!i)orce shall "e defined as the com6lete dissolution of this marriage
contract and may only "e sought "y a 6arty claiming and showing a
)iolation of the contractual 6ro)isions against adultery, a"andonment,
or a"ortion. Initial se6aration shall follow the 6rocedure a"o)e.
Financial su66ort shall follow the 6rocedure descri"es in the se6aration
section a"o)e. After trial to a & Corinthians - 6anel, the 6re)ailing
6arty may, if a state marriage license has "een o"tained, file for a ci)il
dissolution in state court.
/II. 2itnesses and a"use of 6rocess
If the & Corinthians -% &'( 6anel determines "y clear and con)incing e)idence
that a 6arty has "een untruthful or has induced a witness to "e
untruthful in any 6roceeding "efore the 6anel, said 6arty shall "e
deemed guilty of a"andonment.
If the 6anel deems that a 6arty has re6eatedly engaged the 6rocess without
#ust cause, that 6arty shall "e deemed guilty of a"andonment. For
6ur6oses of this 6aragra6h, 1re6eatedly3 shall "e no fewer than three
times.
The undersigned 6arties do here"y agree to the terms of this contract.
