Regarding energetic consumption, we can see that most people use the traditional
energy resources like electricity, gas and biomass and that the unconventional energy sources
are not very popular yet. This fact is directly related to the type of housing because most of the
respondents live in flats.
Concerning the energy saving appliances at home, the results indicate that many people
have not only one, but several type of this equipment. The energy efficiency measures installed
at home vary from country to country and from person to person. For example, according to
the graphic people from Turkey and from Portugal prefer the low voltage lamps and Romanians
and people from Bulgaria prefer the building insulation.
In terms of energy saving behavior we can see that most people are aware of the
importance of the energy saving, but things could be better. Regarding transportation and
turning off the lights and the appliances when we dont use them anymore, people need to
understand that we must pay more attention to this type of habits in order to have sustainable
development.
