Students will be screened by the Internship coordinator.
The Internship is a paid or unpaid work experience.
Internship is a two-semester experience.

No more than 10 absences or 10 tardies the previous semester.

STUDENTS RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Inform Coordinator of career interest in interning.
2. Work with sponsor and coordinator to develop the Internship contract,
including a learning plan during the Internship experience.
3. Work hard each day to learning the skills and tasks listed on your Learning Plan.
4. Notify your sponsor and coordinator when absent from the Internship
period for any reason. More than 10 absences for any reason, including
excused absences (for dentist, doctor, etc.) will result in no credit for
Internship and the student will be placed in IDP. Failure to notify the
coordinator three (3) times will result in removal from the program.
5. Arrive on time each day for the Internship period. Students will not
report to Internship site on any school day during which they have not
attended school unless cleared by the Internship coordinator and the
attendance office. More than three (3) truancies will result in
removal from the program and automatic failure.
6. The student is responsible for his/her transportation to and from the Internship site.
7. Assignments will be turned in to Coordinator on designated dates. Points are
deducted for turning assignments in late. Failure to turn in satisfactorily
completed assignments will result in an administrative referral.
8. Students will meet as a class according to the Internship schedule.
Failure to attend will result in an administrative referral.
9. Maintain a 2.5 current overall GPA otherwise will be directed to remain
in the classroom until a 2.5 GPA is achieved.
10. Student will conform to the rules, regulations and policies of Internship sponsor,
Internship Program, CCHS Career Academy and the school.
SPONSORS RESPONSIBILITES
1. Work with student to develop a learning plan for each grading period.
2. Monitor the students progress in the completion of the learning plan.
3. Complete one formal evaluation each grading period.
4. Call the Attendance Office at CCHS (682-7247) to report the
student absent or late. Keep attendance and tardiness records for
the student. Verify that attendance with coordinator.
5. Call Coordinator at 682-7247 or 687-7733 if any problems arise.
COORDINATORS RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Approve and monitor contracts.
2. Contact the sponsor periodically to monitor students progress
toward goals.
3. Contact the sponsor to obtain students evaluation.
4. Help resolve any problems arising between student and sponsor.
5. Conduct class the first 2 weeks of the semester.
6. Conduct class meetings when scheduled or as needed to
communicate with students on skills being learned, situations they
have encountered during their Internship, and progress toward
their goals.
PARENT OR GUARDIANS RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Be responsible for the students adherence to the policies and procedures as listed on this document.
2. Be responsible for the personal conduct of the student while enrolled in the Internship experience.
3. Be responsible for the safety and conduct of the student while he/she is traveling to and from the school, Internship site, and home.
4. The student must be present and on time each day, both in school and at the Internship site. If the student is absent more than 10 times per
semester, for any reason, including excused absences he/she will be removed from Internship.
5. Call the Internship coordinator if there is something which he/she should be made aware (trouble at home, work, or school, etc.)

The basic philosophy of the Internship Program is that the student is self motivated and goal oriented. The purpose of the contract is to
challenge the student and to outline an independent study above, beyond, or outside the curriculum of Campbell County High School.

We understand the terms of this contract and accept our responsibilities as listed above.
