-The Roman World takes shape -began as a small city-state in Italy


-Estruscans ruled central Italy
-Romans overthrew the Estruscan king

-About 207 B.C. Rome occupied all of Italy

Summary: Rome began small, the gradually got large. They overthrew the Etruscan
king in 509 B.C. Never want to be ruled by a monarchy, developed a republic system.
Wealth began to make problems then Augustus came to rule and made Rome intro
an empire. He created Roman peace. They took Greeks ideas, were great at
engineering. Christianity came to be.
