Instruction to Move the Patient to the Wheelchair

Nurse : Good morning Mr. X, my name is nurse Cahyo, and I will be your nurse for today,
how are you today? Do you feel any better?
Patient : Good morning nurse, well, yes, I am, but I am bored, I think I want to go outside.
Nurse : Oh, all right then. If that so, Ill take the wheelchair. Please be patient for some
moment, okay.
Patient : Okay nurse, please be quick.
Nurse : Mr. X, Im back, now we need you to get to this wheelchair, follow my instruction
Okay?
Patient : Okay nurse, Im ready.
Nurse : Now, move your body to the right side of the bed. Let me move your leg first okay,
and you need to press the bed with your hand to the side of the bed, all right?
Patient : Okay then, (Hmmmmp) what next?
Nurse : Now Ill make your sit, please grab my shoulder with your Right hand, and your left
hand pressing the bed, and in count of three, press the bed, and Ill pull your shoulder,
and make you sit.
Patient : Okay, (hmmmmmp)
Nurse : Now I will move your leg into the edge of the bed, and make you faced me. Grab
your hand circling my neck, and Ill put my hand to your hips and leg. Okay I move you
now.
Patient : Whew...
Nurse : Okay, now Ill put my hand in your armpit and raise your body to be stand up, you can
put your hand circling my neck. Ready?
Patient : Ready.
Nurse : Okay then, do you feel dizzy?
Patient : No, nurse.
Nurse : Now Ill make you sit on the wheelchair. Lets turn your body a bit.
Patient : All right, now?
Nurse : Now lower your body and sit.
Patient : Okay.

Nurse : Now Mr. X, youre finish. Lets go to the outside, do you want to be accompanied by
me?
Patient : No nurse, let my family do it.
Nurse : Okay then, have a nice day, Mr. X.
