South West Security
02/2013 - present
I am currently employed by South West Security. I perform interior and exterior patrols,
maintain a detailed log of events, and ensure the general security of property.

National Park Service
06/2014 08/2014
I worked as an interpretive park ranger at Grand Canyon National Park on the south rim
over the summer. I gave ranger programs about the geology of the park. I also co-led
hikes and roved trails and worked in the visitors center where I helped visitors from all
over the world and every walk of life.


US Army
02/2000 07/2004 and 07/2005 05/2009 Combat Engineer
In the Army I was in a leadership position for over three years where I was in charge of
25 to 30 soldiers, and over two million dollars in equipment. I served three tours in Iraq
where I helped build bridges, roads, and slipways; and successfully completed over 75
missions ranging from route and building clearance to bridge building and replacement.

Skills and Additional Information
While in the Army I attended several schools and courses where I obtained many skills
in leadership, wilderness survival, and first aid. I attended Combat Life Saver School, FBCB2
Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, and the German Schuetzenschnur Course. I
have several years of leadership experience and great organizational skills. While at the Grand
Canyon I gained experience in dealing with visitors and improving my people skills. I helped to
lead hikes and gave ranger programs about geology. I also was trip leader for my EDGE project
where I led a group of incoming freshmen on a camping trip for adventure orientation, where we
went to Great Basin National Park and hiked Wheeler Peak. I always demonstrate good
judgment for both time and resource management. I am very knowledgeable in wilderness
survival, and have proficient skills in land navigation, primitive survival and first aid. I am Red
Cross certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED, I have also had classes on Leave No Trace.
I am currently enrolled at Southern Utah University seeking a Bachelors degree in
Outdoor Recreation Parks and Tourism with an emphasis in Natural Resource Recreation.
